In this 2-hour workshop, participants will learn about the interdisciplinary field of ethnobotany, the study of plants’ historical uses across cultures. We will explore examples of significant plants, such as tobacco and spearmint, in human history and their various uses.
Foraging and safe practices will be discussed to emphasize the importance of plant taxonomy and morphology.
Activities include creating a tincture from the plants covered or potting up a plant to take home.
