Who we are
PlantxChange was created during New York City's lockdown in 2020 as a way to uplift people's spirits and reconnect people isolating through propagations and by appointment pickups. Russell, a co-founder, brought in their friends, Makayla and Simone. They continued to host plant giveaways, expanded the collective, and organize inclusive programming for NYC residents.
Rooted in a deep respect for the land and the traditions that shape our relationship with plants, we integrate ancestral wisdom, horticulture, and social justice to create environmental stewards and leaders supporting a healthier relationship between humans and Mother Earth.
Whether through our workshops or community initiatives, we are committed to fostering environmental stewardship and a return to ancestral practices.
